No, Taylor Swift Isn’t Featured on Kendrick Lamar’s New Album GNX

Despite the buzz and fan speculation, Taylor Swift does not appear on Kendrick Lamar’s new album.

The 37-year-old rapper surprised listeners on November 22 with the release of GNX, a 12-track album featuring songs like “Wacced Out Murals,” “Squabble Up,” “Luther,” “Man at the Garden,” and “Dodger Blue.” The album was primarily produced by Sounwave and Jack Antonoff, the latter a frequent collaborator with Swift. However, no guest features, including Swift, are listed on the record.

Rumors of a potential new collaboration between Lamar and Swift gained momentum after their work on the 2014 hit “Bad Blood” and its 2023 re-recording for 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Swift’s re-release included Lamar’s remixed verses, which she praised as transformative for the song.

In an October 2023 Instagram post, Swift reflected on working with Lamar:“Watching @kendricklamar create and record his verses on the ‘Bad Blood’ remix was one of the most inspiring experiences of my life,” she wrote. “Every time the crowds on The Eras Tour would chant his line ‘You forgive, you forget, but you never let it… go!’ I smiled. The fact that Kendrick re-recorded his verses so I could reclaim and own this work is surreal.”

Despite these remarks and fans’ theories fueled by photos of Lamar, Swift, and Antonoff in the studio, neither artist has confirmed plans for another collaboration. For now, fans will have to wait and see if these two powerhouse musicians join forces again in the future.
